Mendoza El Plumerillo Airport (MDZ) had an unusual visitor on 13Sep13 when Volga-Dnepr Airlines Antonov AN-124-100, RA-82047 (c/n 9773053259121) arrived from Houston (presumably Bush Intercontinental - IAH) with a technical stop in Lima (LIM).
The AN-124's entire nose section swings upward allowing for the transport of very large shipments. This visit was presumably to bring oversize equipment for the oil industry in Neuquen where there are huge shale oil reserves.
